About the Therapeutic Process
Two different tracks of treatment:
1.      Medical Model Track - Covered by insurance through Superbill only - you are required to meet medical necessity (mental health needs), which include a mental health diagnosis. Couple counseling is not covered under this plan. However, family therapy is covered, with an identified patient -at least one person within the family must meet medical necessity (mental health needs), and the treatment plan Is centered around that person.
2.      Personal Growth and Development Track- Self-pay only -although a full assessment and treatment plan will be conducted, the only requirement for services is client's willingness and ability to pay. Couples counseling where the focus is solely the relationship falls under this model. This model is flexible and designed to address any life issues causing distress.

Session Format:
1.      Open-ended format - We go with the flow, based on your presentation, what you bring to talk about at each session. The therapist is following your lead and gently guide you as needed.
2.      Structured format - There is a clear beginning and ending, with each session building up on the other. You will know what to expect ahead of time at each session. The therapist is actively leading the session.
3.      Blended format -This is where we blend the 2 approaches, our preferred format. We find that our clients benefit the most when they can address their day-to-day stress under the open-ended format, as well as the opportunity to learn new skills/concepts under the structured format.

Treatment Approach:
It is your therapist's intention to provide services that will assist you in reaching your goals. We conduct an in-depth initial assessment, over the course of 2 or 3 sessions.

We strive to be flexible, innovative, while utilizing researched based model, tailoring our services to individual needs. Modeling (self-disclosure) and storytelling is integrated in our style. We may share our own or others' stories (experiences) to help bring material to life and create deeper understanding. Below are some of the models we may utilized to address your needs.
1.      Integrative or holistic Therapy - We are flexible and innovative - we blend different elements of    a wide range of therapeutic models (evidenced-based and non-evidenced), tailor to your needs.
2.      Cognitive Behavior Therapy/REBT/DBT -We focused on your thoughts/belief systems to help you address your emotions and behaviors and interactions with your environment/others.

3.      Strategic-structural Family Therapy - We focused on identifying the symptoms within the family that is causing the problem and then create a plan to address the problem. We look at unhealthy family patterns and help the family create healthier routines within the family structure, to create a safe and secure home environment.
4.      Solution Focused Brief-Therapy -We help you develop realistic solutions quickly as related to your everyday functioning. In this approach, we are goal-oriented, focusing on helping you thrive quickly, without needing to analyze the deeper mental health issues.

5.     Psychoanalysis and Psychodynamic Therapy - We focus on changing problematic behaviors, feelings, and thoughts by discovering their unconscious meanings and motivations.

6.     Existential Therapy - We focused on free will, self-determination, and the search for meaning.
7.     Christian Counseling/Spiritually informed - We utilize the Judeo-Christian Scriptures and principles to address the whole person (body, soul, and spirit). This is an integrative approach, where we utilize Christian concepts to the above approaches. Find out more here -https://guillaumecounseling.com/Christian-counseling
8.   Faith-based/spiritually informed - we incorporate your faith, religion, or lack of spiritual beliefs into your treatment

9.  lifespan Integration (LI) - Relies on the innate ability of the body-mind to heal itself by utizing cue cards. There are many different LI protocoals that deals with traumas and unresolved relationships.
